Stephen came to Montreal on an internship from the University of Waterloo, where he was studying in professional writing.Having fallen in love with the city, he transferred to McGill University, where he completed his studies later that year.
His adventurous side led him to put his writing career on hold in order to work as a bike messenger. Over the past 6 years he has worked in Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco, and primarily, on the streets of Montreal.
He began developing the Independent Messenger concept in May 2005, and officially registered the company in February 2006.
